Inertia being one of my middle names, it has taken me until now to make
other arrangements. I hope some of my old friends will soon find me, as
well as other people who may be researching some of my names. I am SO glad
to be back!!

About me
My name is Jay Wright. I
am a retired health service worker, living in the north-west of England,
and my main interest is genealogy. I am also actively involved with the Family and Community Historical Research
Society (FACHRS).
I would be glad of any feedback relevant to my site.
Updates
June 2010: I added a page about my
grandfather, David Sleigh Shiell, of Newcastle
upon Tyne and his ancestors in Berwickshire.
September 2010: I have done some more work on the family of James Lishman, the Westmorland artist and dancing master, in particular his eldest son James William.
October 2010: I have uncovered the sad story of George Lishman of Shildon's first brief marriage.
October 2010: Lishman > James Lishman of Cartmel > William's family. A member of this family has pointed out an error which I have now corrected. I had confused the histories of John and Alan, grandsons of John James Lishman. I am very grateful to my informant.
